Biography
Lindy is a professional actor with over thirty years experience on the stage. She trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in the UK and at the Howard Fine Actors Studio Australia in Melbourne and has enjoyed leading and supporting roles in Theatre and Music Theatre Productions for many years.
Most recently Lindy performed in the title role of My Old Lady with Heidelberg Theatre Company as 'Matilde Girard' and as 'Dr Lorna James' in The Effect, a play by Lucy Prebble and presented by Mordialloc Theatre Company. Previously she performed as 'Mama Murphy' in the musical Bright Star, a Pursued by Bear production that received five Green Room Award Nominations in 2020, including Best Production. In 2023 Lindy won the Victorian Drama League's Best Supporting Actor Award for her role as Dr Lorna James in The Effect, an award she also won in 2019 for her work as Grandma Kurnitz in Neil Simon's Lost in Yonkers with Heidelberg Theatre Company. That same year, Lindy was also nominated for a Lyrebird Award for her portrayal of Kate in Sylvia with Lilydale Athenaeum Theatre Company.
